Why TEA FOR TWO?

Currently, writing a book about tea, which Rizzoli is publishing fall 2026 :)

My writing has been published in Vogue, AD, T Mag, and more, on topics ranging from where to drink tea in London and where to eat bread in Greenpoint, to juicing, fashion brands turned homeware, and everything in between.

My background is as a board-certified Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and the founder of Masha Tea. I also host a writing retreat in Italy.

In TEA FOR TWO, a continuation of a newsletter that’s been ongoing for years, I write about what I do between cups of tea. How the books I’m reading make me feel, music, dressing, art museums, and occasionally my cute baby, Mona. I also interview creative people on their tea rituals in a column called TEA WITH.

Paid Subscribers also have access to my weekly column, HEALTHY HABITS, where you can expect a relaxed approach to healthy habits with

  1. A market roundup of what I bought and saw at the market that week

  2. Health benefits + thoughts on a HEALTHY HABIT

  3. One SIMPLE recipe

  • so lovely maria, this part was especially tender to me:

What's keeping me tethered to the here and now is bringing baby Mona to the bakery and eating croissants together, watching boats and ducks on the river, meeting strangers in the park, holding hands, sharing a cup of tea. - LP

  • “I think you are very good at "emotions"‘... - BW

  • “Ha.

I read The Dud Avocado years ago

Then came to Paris to live it

Which I think I’m still doing— minus the promiscuity

    Alas!” - JR

  • ‘“Life with Picasso” has been on my radar recently. Thanks for confirming it should be high on the list.” - MAG
