italy 2025 : masha tea writing retreat

Hello!! A quick note of excitement in ending the year by beginning planning for the next.

I just set the dates for this year’s Masha Tea Writing Retreat - it will be July 1-6 in the small town of Monte San Savino in Tuscany. It was truly beautiful last year --- an infinity pool, private chef with local produce, and the attendees worked on things like ghostwriting a music memoir, a magazine editor working on her first novel, a tea-loving duo going on the trip to strengthen their friendship, lots of journaling and personal projects. The emphasis is on private time for writing, relaxing by the pool, having quiet space. It’s not a workshop/ super scheduled type of week. The point is to have basically nothing on the calendar other than meals and the pool to make space for the rest.

This trip will be the same freeform, independently led structure as last year, but I will introduce some more gentle guidance - journal prompts, structured moments for exercise in the form of daily brisk group walks. I’m also creating a small central library for us. I have some really interesting brand partnerships in the works for these aspects that I’ll share soon! I’ll also spend a few more moments in the morning talking about the tea of the day and grounding us into that.

I’ll be traveling with my husband, reading Italian dramas, and writing about herbs and tea.

It might take me a little bit of time to respond (I’m going to the World Chess Championship with my family tomorrow, excited to report back on that. They had great merch last time it was in New York.. 5? years ago)
